INTIMACY, n. A relation into which fools are providentially drawn for their mutual destruction.
- Ambrose Bierce (American writer, editor, journalist 1842-1914)

Without thinking, paper might be one of the few products one has an intimate relationship with. How often do you stroke a piece of paper just by reading a book or magazine? How close does paper get in the little room just before flushing? We need paper in our every day lives (despite internet making us use the electronic version).
As intimate as a woman might become with paper, Bodil Jane Kleipool takes paper intimacy to a new level. Her exquisitely designed paper bra which mimics precisely the look of lace. Not only does the material stress the fragility of paper, but also the fragility that intimacy has.
Bodil Jane Kleipool is an illustration student at Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Follow her work on her blog here.
